BioValue Co-Organizes Workshop on Underutilized Crops at XVIII EAAE Congress 2025

We are excited to announce that BioValue, together with our Horizon 2020 sister project RADIANT and under the leadership of JLU Giessen, will co-organize a dedicated workshop at the XVIII European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) Congress in Bonn, Germany.

Workshop Title:
Promoting Agri-Food Chain Diversification through Underutilized Crops: Socio-Economic Dilemmas and Policy Solutions

This dynamic workshop will bring together leading researchers and policy experts to explore how underutilized crops can diversify agri-food value chains and contribute to more resilient, sustainable European food systems.

Highlights include:

  • Real-world case studies from across Europe
  • Interactive tools: pinboard brainstorming, index card feedback, and live polling
  • Contributions from top agricultural research institutions including JLU Giessen, University of Bologna, James Hutton Institute, Wageningen University, and CIHEAM

The session is open to all XVIII EAAE Congress participants and is especially relevant to experts in agricultural policy, sustainability transitions, and food value chain innovation.
