On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, the School of Agriculture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki hosted an insightful lecture for postgraduate and Ph.D. students. Our coordinator, Professor Konstadinos Mattas, presented “New Dimensions in Agricultural Research and Professional Opportunities,” providing an exclusive glimpse into cutting-edge initiatives within the European Union.
The lecture showcased the latest advancements through Horizon 2020 research programs, with a special focus on the groundbreaking results achieved in the BIOVALUE project. Attendees, consisting of over seventy students spanning diverse agrofood disciplines, including sustainable agriculture, breeding, horticulture, water/soil science, and food technology, gained valuable insights in our mission to make a change in the eating habits of today´s society based on agrobiodiversity and underutilized or forgotten crops.
