It seems that there is hope! Results from our project BIOVALUE, and other EU-funded projects have made their way to the public through policy-making consultations.
During the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in December 2023, a declaration was signed, emphasizing one of the five objectives:
“…to maximize the climate and environmental benefits associated with agriculture and food systems by
conserving protecting and restoring land and natural ecosystems, … and biodiversity….”.
It sems our work comes up at the point where “there is a broad acknowledgement that the food agenda is aligned with the climate fight”.
Retooling the global food system and redefining how we feed ourselves, all while safeguarding our planet (our nest) and ensuring food access for all, should be our roadmap for survival.
We take pride in our work and contributions along this pathway. We are committed to spreading the word, ensuring our efforts resonate with the right audience.
